Father is deceased, question about unclaimed life insurance?

My father passed away 9 years ago, and according the the NC Treasury he has unclaimed property listed as Indiv Policy Benef/Clm Payments. Does anyone know what this means? Is this a policy that was unclaimed or is just payments he made? I'm confused...
