clm|||What you're studying now is fairly general and very interesting subjects as well, but they need not have anything to do with your college emphasis. It sounds lke you are getting a good education. Are you interested in education? politics? international law? History?
When you enter the univeristy, you will have to test for math and English (writting) and you will be placed accordingly. Intermediate algebra used to be the college math requirement for non-science and non-math majors. Also there will be some science course work (units) that you will need to complete and these courses may affect your career interests. You really should take all the algebra you can now so that you can minimize your struggle with math later. And get the math and english over with asap once you're attending the university...The best thing to do is arm yourself with the knowledge of college requirements and keep an open mind. Get a catalog of the school you plan to attend and it will spell it all out for you. Your library or *counseling office* may have a copy. good luck, I hope that this has helped.|||Talk to your high school counsellor. He or she can help you decide which career / education path to follow|||One really, really important point is that university subjects are often nothing like the subject with the same name in high school. So you've got to keep your mind and your options open. The good news is that the latter at least is not difficult. Sounds like you want something in the humanities or maybe social science area. With global and Canadian history plus French, starting of with a History major might be a good plan. But you will see that in your first year you will only need to take a small number of History courses with plenty of room to take other stuff (some of it required, some not). Sample other things, see what you like. One thing that is worth an hour or two of your time is to take the university Calendar (the list of all the courses) and read it right through, or at least read the course descriptions of every course in whatever Faculty (e.g. Arts, Arts %26amp; Science) you are going to be registered it. You may, indeed you will probably, find really interesting courses tucked away in departments you never might have though of. Give you an example: at U Toronto the departments of Botany and Astronomy used to (don't know if they still do) teach a course on "Life on Other Worlds". How cool is that?
Good luck|||It depends on the university. I have a similar grade 12 year and you do need to search for the program you're interested in, however psyhcology, english, history, sociology, anthropology are all options. Anything to do with humanities or languages would be good, as judging from your classes that is what you're into.|||Anything. It doesn't really matter what you take in high school. Once you get to college you can pick whatever major you're interested in.|||history
law|||What you take in high school does not reflect on what take in college. You should study what you are the most interested in.
